It's been an interesting pre-winter so far... We've seen more snow than anticipated, and I believe we've seen more snow than the last two years combined. It may be one heck of a winter!
With that in mind, let's review the library's inclement weather policy:
The library closes due to inclement weather at the discretion of the library administration. The Administration does its best to balance concerns for safety and access for the community. To that effect, the library may choose to close, close early, or delay opening even when the school district has not. During all occurrences, items will be due on the next business day.
When the library closes due to inclement weather, we always post to the WFMZ Storm Center. We also post to the alert bar at the very top of the library website and, at the very least, to our Facebook. Make sure your radios or TVs are tuned to WFMZ when the weather gets iffy, or check our website or Facebook before you venture out into the cold! Our safety concerns are for you, the community, and our staff!
