Create a literary character from a pumpkin and enter our contest at the Northampton Area Public Library! Pumpkins will be accepted Monday October 22nd and winners are announced Wednesday October 31st. Signups begin October 1st!

1. Decorate a pumpkin or gourd (real or artificial) like a book character.

2. Pumpkins or gourds may be painted, hot glued, decorated etc. Carved pumpkin/gourd submissions will not be accepted.

3. There are three divisions; kids (7 -11), teens, and adults. We will only accept 10 signups per division so register soon!

4. Winners are announced on October 31st. A first place prize of a $15.00 Amazon Gift Card will be awarded to each division.

5. Pumpkins/gourds must be picked up by Thursday November 9th. Any remaining entries will be discarded.
