The Northampton Area Public Library is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees, representative of the service 
areas within the Northampton Area School District. 

The Board usually meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

The Friends group is an association of concerned citizens who use their talents, skills, and interests to:

• focus public attention on the Library.
• stimulate the use of the Library's resources and services.
• receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests.
• assist in developing Library services and facilities for the community.
