Jack Frost Parade

Teen Task Force will once again be participating in the Jack Frost Parade.  Our float this year is 200 years of Frankenstein!  If you would like to help build the float and /or participate in the parade, please fill out the attached forms and return them to the library.  

You can complete this program without ever cracking a book  o_O  BUT you cannot complete it without reading AND interacting with the library.

1.        Register at the library with your library card for a chance to win great prizes.  Pick up your packet at the library.

2.        Participate by doing one or more of the following activities.

All teen summer reading programs can be signed up for via the website (just click the event and register) or at the library.

Learn the ins and outs of the library. See what happens behind the scenes.  Help promote literacy.  Meet new people.  Gain work experience (looks great on job and college applications ;)) We do require a PA State Criminal Check and PA Child Abuse History Clearance (both of which are free).  Download the Intern Position Information and the application below.

Anime Club has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 14th @ 4 PM.  If you don't already know, Anime will only meet once a month and a new group named Random Fandom will be the third Wednesday of each month.  Everyone is welcome to join either or both, just show up at the appointed time :)

With a lack of full work weeks and being on the heels of Harry Potter Book Night, I have decided to push back Random Fandom Trivia to Saturday, February 24th @ 1 PM.  Registration is open online and at the library.  Random Fandoms, random questions, random prizes, random fun!!  Join us!!

Unfortunately, I've had to go ahead and cancel the Doctor Who Escape Room.  I will reschedule it for another date in the near future (or maybe the past -no, wait, another dimension?)  Keep checking for new programs right here at www.northamptonapl.org/teens.

Teen Read Week is upon us once again!  During the week of October 9th, if you are a teen and a librarian approaches you with a basket of goodies, you've been caught reading!  Also, this week, we are having a bookmark contest.  The form is available at the High school and Middle school libraries, at NAPL and here.  Submissions are due Saturday.

This year we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter!  Join us at our next float meeting, Wednesday, September 27th @ 3:30 PM and help plan and create decorations for this year's float.  Any questions just email Mrs. Robinson at rrobinson@northamptonapl.org.
