Welcome to 500 Books Before Middle School!

Similar to 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, 500 Books Before Middle School is a goal based program to read 500 books before children reach 5th grade. Yes, you can count books you re-read! Yes, you can count Easy Readers! Yes, you can count picturebooks! Just get reading!

Our annual Autumn Basket Social is happening Friday, October 7 @ 6 PM next door at the Community Center.

Our first ever Chili Contest will take place Saturday, October 15^th @ 1PM here at the Library.  If you want to enter the contest with your world famous chili - deadline is October 1 and entry fee is $20. (You could win $100!)

School is starting and you know what that means?  Parents rejoicing? Tired children?  Time for NAPL Autumn Basket Social Season!  We are currently accepting donations of new items for our Basket Social that will take place on Friday, October 7 at 6 PM next door at Northampton Community Center.

Basket Social Ticket Pre-Sale will begin Tuesday, September 6th.  The pre-sale deal is buy 3 sets, get 1 FREE. (Each set is $10).

It's that time! Our pop-up Double Good Popcorn fundraiser is live! I'm so excited to buy some popcorn and support the library that I'm using far too many exclaimation points!

My first encounter with Double Good Popcorn was a fundraiser for the field hockey team of one of my friends' daughters. Each kid was raising money to help cover their summer field hockey camp coaches and their team jerseys. The girls killed the fundraiser, and all they had to do was promote it through social media. It was fast, easy, and remarkably efficient. Plus the popcorn was absolutely delicious!

Summer Quest Programming has begun! It's time to check out the "Oceans of Possibilities" happening at NAPL.

Eyes of the Wild will still be joining us at Pavilion A in Municipal Park this coming Thursday, June 23!

However, the program will now start at 7:00 PM!

The company has gone through some changes recently, which has forced them to adjust their commitments. Rather than cancelling on us, they've asked for the program to be pushed back a bit, so they could still keep their commitment to us.
